As a rule, I can't give an album full of cover songs more than 3 stars. That being said, this is LOTS of fun! I was blown away when I saw Ministry in Worcester, MA back in the nine-deuce with Sepultura and Helmet. They performed Supernaut for their encore that night and I have been talking about that show ever since. Good luck Al…

i hate most of the original songs, but I love Ministry. So I gotta say this album is just ok. I would only recommend this to die-hard Ministry fans and people who like southern rock.
Interesting setlist...but not all new

The heavier songs are definitely the best of the bunch, but "completionists" already have a couple of these songs. Lay Lady Lay was on Filth Pig, and this version of Supernaut is from Greatest Fits. (Not like there aren't a dozen different versions of that cover already available, anyway) What a Wonderful World should never, ever be covered by anyone, though. All the different versions I've heard pale compared to the original, even Joey Ramone's, and even Grandpa Jourgensen's.
The final chapter in the Minstry saga?

One of the most fierce covers albums you'll ever hear. Nothing like going out in a blaze of glory.
hilarious!

Nice to get away from the Bush-hatin' stuff.
Best versions of "Under My Thumb" and "Mississippi Queen" ever.
Too much fun to pass up!

Those above who insist that Ministry "should have covered some old industrial tunes" are nuts! Why cover a bunch of bands that adopted the sound Ministry created? That would be like Joy Division covering Interpol! These ARE the songs that influenced Ministry you dolts! And their Lay Lady Lay cover is 12 years old (and frikkin' amazing), so whoevers rippin on it as a miss as a new song is not a true fan, but whatever. Had to get that out.
This album is a showcase of Ministry's ability to reinvigorate classic tunes, which has always been one of their unique talents. I sometimes have qualms with Al releasing a covers cd as the last Ministry album but would I rather it be without the cd at all? Hell no. This is a great album and has not left my cd player since I bought it at the farewell tour. Pop it in and drive anywhere but where you are!
Just Okay

This is alright but not too be taken seriously, esp... Lady Lady Lay, more like Lay Lady Gay! I agree with the guy who said they should have done old industrial tunes.
Ignore the nay-sayers!

Ignore the nay-sayers! Most of the tracks are faithful covers of kick-a** classic hard rock songs with an industrial metal spin. I love these songs and these renditions are freakin' great! There are a few missteps: Under My Thumb, Wonderful World, and Lay Lady Lay are for completists only. Most of these are outstanding though esp. Radar Love, Just Got Paid, Space Truckin', Black Betty, and Supernaut (previously issued as 1000 Homo DJs). A lot of fun!
Great Covers in Industrial Style

Ministry lost some fanbase after turning too political, but that doesnt take away from thier abilty to deliver the best Industrial Rock. Lests not forget that these guys took Industrial to the mainstream in the last decade.
If you like Ministry, you'll love these covers....
