Ministry's best albums in my opinion were Land of Rape and Honey, Filth Pig and Animositisomina. They were full of clever, surprising riffs, keyboards, lyrics, bass lines, samples. This album went far from that. Besides only one song that blew me to pieces "The Dick Song", a couple of good songs that kicked in some older Ministry "Death and Destruction" and "Die In a Crash", a fine melody on "Watch Yourself" and a pretty great ending track "End of Days Pt. 2", this album doesn't have much left to offer. Recycled riffs and unimpressive lyricicsm, Al keeps on beating the same horse and misses what made them so great for so long. Paul was the creative drive in Ministry, and as soon as he left, his absence was noticed with the string of albums that followed Animositisomina.

I suppose it's more a problem of my own than that of Ministry, but I find it impossible to like anything Al Jourgensen does. Ministry strikes me as having too many samples and not enough change. I like that it's heavy as a real heavy thing, so it's good for a few minutes, but the power is lost once you realize it's pretty much the same distorted gats on loop. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

It has come to metal thrash heads who inherited the sound of Ministry. The shame. They don't deserve it. Ministry peaked out with Mind is a terrible thing to taste and slowly went downhill. What happened to you Al?

How can we ignore their politics, It's the only thing they have sung about for eight years. I don't care how good the album is I just can't support them. It's sad because they were good before they decided to alienate half of their audience.
