This is the album that first introduced me to Neil Young when I was around 12 years old. My hippie dad sat me in front of the home stereo equipment w/ those giant old school headphones and played a bootleg copy on a loop to the point where I memorized half the album!! With this offiial release, the genius of Neil Young can be listened to all over again. One of the best live albums I own from any artist or genre.

What a great surprise to come across this album after all this time. Neil Young is so immensely talented, that his musical doodles betweeen songs are more enjoyable than most of the drek on MTV. This album also takes you back to a day when concerts were simpler musical events rather than the over-produced, over-hyped and under delivered Las Vegas events we see too much of today. From the gripping rendition of On the Way Home to the great 'rap' leading into Old Man to the classic The needle and the Damage Done this album reminds us that once there were albums where all the cuts were worth listening to. A true gem

What else would you expect? All of these songs shine - I had to say that I was curious to see how more full-bodied, instrumentaly rich arrangements such as "Helpless" and "Heart Of Gold" (here done as a beautiful, fitting couplet with "A man needs a maid") would translate as solo numbers, and the result is nothing short of the beauty, as with everything else here presented.
  • Shannon, are you still listening to this?

Like it was when we were at Massey Hall in '71, only repeatable. Thanks for the memories.
  • Neil at his best

I have always been a fan of acoustic music with my favorite artists. This album is no exception. Every song on the album is top notch. I especially love "On the Way Home" "A Man Needs a Maid/ Heart of Gold", and "Ohio". If you love music at all you won't regret purchasing the entire album.
  • Great Album!

It think it is amazing that a concert that took place over 35 years ago would still find fans of all ages.
  • "Love, just love"

That's what I said one evening as I melted into a speaker, and this is why... Everything about why I love Neil Young is here. His banter, his guitar, his voice, even that "Comes a Time" smile (shout out to iTunes, could we have all the video?). This is *pure*!
