A Golden Nugget From A Brilliant Time

Alone and with the Stray Gators this is as unassuming as it is spectacular in its particular Young style. While the band plays confidently, there's an unusual laid back approach in many of the songs. Also, check out Neil singing in lower tones some of his classics. Very cool.

I was a student at Alabama when Neil Young came to town 1973 and hearing this again brings back fond memories. It was a great show and this is a fine addition to any collection of Neil's music. Buy it!

The lyrics alone in any Neil Young song are worth waiting for. He is one artist who sings from life experiences and straight from the heart. He does not fold or bend to the pressures of mainstream radio. Thank God for the Neil Young Archives. This is truly an exciting moment.

I Can't Wait

When I was in high school, I drove 90 miles from Montgomery to Tuscaloosa to this concert at Memorial Coliseum on the campus of the University of Alabama. It was a bitterly cold night. Linda Ronstadt opened the show, and was great ... but everyone was there to see Neil. He was sensational. I have reflected on this show for the past 45 years, never dreaming it would be available in any form. Honestly, I am not sure what to expect. However one thing is for certain: I cannot wait to hear it.
