I wish Neil would understand that most of his best music was done between 1967 & 1973 instead of trying to imitate Jimi Hendrix. Apparently he doesn’t care to return to his roots or maybe he does with this release.

I was there that evening to see Neil at Carnegie, a concert I'll never forget. Neil introduced some wonderful tunes that night, among them "Wonderin'" and "Bad Fog Of Loneliness", which I had to wait a long time for to finally get recorded versions of these songs. It was a terrific conncert, and the only sour memory of it I have was the audience, who were incredibly rude that night, shouting out what songs they thought Neil should play, and in general just being obnoxious. Wonderful fans, I thought. This concert is worth it's weight in gold. It's a tribute to the genius of this legendary songwriter.
