This was the album that captured my attention and brought me into fandom of Priest. A solid album from top to bottom. Great riffs, songs and solos.
  • It is classic Judas Priest, what more can one say?

This is a strong album but not a 5 star affair as some of the aforementioned releases, however it is still very strong and given further recognition with this special anniversary edition that includes an excellent portrayal of the band in the 80’s. It is classic Judas Priest, what more can one say, it is without a doubt a must have for fans of heavy metal and a testament to their undying popularity and relevance in the metal community. The front cover should be adorned with the sticker “Gotta Have It!” Keith Hannaleck
  • Fantastic Release!

Defenders of the Faith is undoubtedly one of Priests most underrated classic releases. Don't get me wrong, as sonn as you get past Some Heads are Gonna Roll, the album is just filler from then on, but the better portion of this album is no mercy all out heavy metal without any exceptions. This thirtieth anniversary pack doesn't disappoint, including the highly sought after Long Beach concert that was previously only available as a bootleg. The show sounds fantastic, and the band are in the pocket throughout. This is a must buy for Priest fans. Now all I'm waiting on is a live album from their 1988 tour and I'll be happy!

I was lucky enough to be at this show. Still the only time I got to see Priest. Great White opened. Preist were sooo good that night. I'm so glad this finally is seeing the light of day. Still the funniest thing I've ever seen at a show happened during KK's solo in Victim of Changes. Some chicks bra got thrown up on stage & it landed right in the neck of KK's Flying V. Hollywood couldn't have planned a better shot! KK saw it, grabbed it & took a big wiff & threw it over his shoulder without missing a note. Awesome performance!

First "Live After Death" and now "Priest Live 1984", both recorded beautifully and with sonic integrity in Long Beach, CA. This is Priest at the height of their popularity delivering a powerful set list. Enjoy.

I was looking forward to this release. I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed. This offering gives us The original 10 song defenders album and, we also get The 1984 live show that broadcast live on the ABC network in it's entirety. The live show alone is worth the price point of $20.00. The question I always ask myself when I listen to an album is: would I want to listen to it again? The answer is YES!!! This collection captures the energy of Priest at their peak. I would recommend this. If you are a fan or someone looking for some great 80's Metal this is for you.

Can't wait 'til Tuesday. This is my favorite album by Judas Priest, and it also contains my favorite track by the band, "The Sentinel."................can't wait to hear the concert, for I saw the same show in '84 at Madison Square Garden with Great White opening up..........this should be killer!
