  • Disappointing

It's loud, I give it that. For that reason alone give it a listen but the songs in my personal opinion are like bringing the cheese level to 10. It's just not very good. I lovvvve priest but this album I definitely didn't love. But the energy is definitely there!
  • Nostradamus all over again

Listen Priest fans, if you identify Priest by Sin after Sin, Stained Class, and British Steel or even Painkiller, don't expect that here. Halford's voice is similar now to Nostradamus or his Made of Metal album. The writing is just as cheesy and sappy as Nostradamus, and there is no part where the instruments stand out. The amazing guitar duo has no unique shreds like in Painkiller and British Steel, it's probably on the level of some studio session players riffing. You might find similar solos included in some music making software. If you like Halfords latest style and like the over-produced sound of Nostradamus as well as its lyrics, have a blast! Everybody else, move along. It's as cheesy and uncreative as its album cover.
  • Out of all the albums of J.P....

I've got 3 albums, The Best of Judas Priest, Nostradomus, and Redeemer of Souls. ALL of these albums are 10/10. This band can't do anything wrong. The 1 exception would be that...I don't want 2 wait HALF A DECADE for the release of another album.
  • The Best!

Been a Judas Priest fan since the early 80's. While Priest have been consistent over the years they have felt stale over the past few years. Until now! This album is nothing short of a masterpiece, it has just the right amount of everything strategically placed throughout. Richie has brought new life to this band with his jaw dropping tasty and sonic guitar riffs. Richie doesn't just puke a bunch of lightening fast notes into a small space in unorganized form, instead, he strategically places sonic bombs and smooth yet mixed pace riffs throughout. Not overkill but certainly bountiful, just enough to get you addicted. This is the first album in a long time that cause me to go home and want to learn it right away. I have bought a masterpiece for $9.99. Less than $1 per incredible song. Great album Priest! Bravo Zulu!

Going through some of these reviews, I can't understand how this album gets less than 5 stars. Matter of fact, this album should get 100!! This album has everything you would expect from Priest. Classic heavy riffs, pounding drums, and Halford's screeching vocals. I have listened to this album 2 times all the way through and I would rank this album up there with Painkiller and British Steel. DO NOT PASS THIS UP AT ANY COST!!!!! If you are a Judas Priest fan you must own.

Tons of outstanding guitar tones, awesome riffs, incredible leads, and Halford... OMG he truly sounds better than he ever did! Very inspirational for this 50-year-old guitarist still rockin it in my own original band.
