Reviews

  • Excellent Early AC

Easy Action shows what the original AC band would become. The greatest 5 member band ever. The original AC band music never grows old even after 30 Plus years. "Shoe Salesman" "Below Your Means" "Laughing at Me" " Beautiful Flyaway" truly shows their talent in the beginning. These are not the songs that AC was known for, it was Mr and Misdemeanor, Return of the Spiders and Refrigerator Heaen that got the band all the attention from the masses. This is a must for anyone who doesn't already own it. I still listen to this recording after all the years whenever I need an AC fix!!!!

Easy Action is a pretty good album. I just don't understand why it bombed when it was released. It's not as good as Love It To Death, but it's better then Pretties For You. I love the song Mr. And Misdeameanor. It's a grat song to start the album. I highly recommend this album to a fan of the original band. But it shouldn't be the first album you buy.
  • Almost hitting their stride

They almost got it right with this one. Once you hear "Refrigerator Heaven" you'll never get it out of your head.
  • Alice Cooper's Best Album

I owned their first 6 albums on vinyl. All are good, but this was the best in my opinion. Although "Killer" was good, they were never the same in terms of creativity after that album's success. "Easy Action" is a gem, and in my opinion, one of the best albums from the early 1970s. This is a side of Alice Cooper most people don't know. I highly recommend this album if you are open to something different from their later work.
  • More like Alice than Pretties For You

It doesn't sound like the Alice that was introduced in the next album, but it's getting closer. Not as good as Pretties For You though.
  • Obviously Alice but pre-rock/heavy metal

These first two albums are beautiful and crazy. The vocals and arrangements sound a lot like the beatles and they'd keep that creativity later, but here they haven't gotten their dark edge yet. If you're a fan of psychadelia or Alice Cooper, it's a must have. It's not for everyone, you'll absolutely love it or hate it. Definitely more accessible than "Pretties for You."
  • The first best album

This is the first album of theirs that I like. "Beautifull flyaway" is beatles voice and piano with the occasional thin lizzy guitar riff. "Refrigerator Heaven" is infectuous, I haven't been able to get it out of my head. "Laughing at me" sounds like its straight off David Bowie's "man who sold the world" album. This album rocks!
