  • One of Alice's best new wave albums

Yes, this was one of those albums from the early eighties when Alice tried to do new wave. A huge Alice Cooper fan, I liked most of these albums. But this one is probably the second best of those, just behind Flush the Fashion. The best songs are Prettiest cop on the block, skeletons in the closet, you look good in rags, Your a movie, and Vicious rumors. Very good, not essential, but pretty close.

Although not often cited as one of Alice's best works, this album is a true gem. Amazing hidden tracks like Who Do You Think We Are, Don't Talk Old To Me, and You're a Movie are fun to just sit back and listen to. A definate must for any Alice fan. A few listens through and you will be singing every track just because it is so infectious.
  • Generation Landslide!

Not his best but has a "live" version of Generation Landslide with an extra killer verse that's not on the Billion Dollar Babies version. He's probably the most underrated songwriter ever. He's amazing.

Alice is never credited for his sense of humor. He knows how closely the psychological roots of stark terror and humerous amusement lie and never failed to enhance by juxtaposing. This is probably his funniest album. BTW-Did you know when Frank Zappa produced Alice's first album he suggested changing the groups name to "Alice Cookie"?!! I heard Alice was not amused.
  • ALICE COOPER NEW WAVE

This album, and several others, does not get the credit it deserves. Alice was taking a new approach to his music, with a new look, and a new band. I've been a fan for a long time and appreciate it just as much, if not more, than his original material. SEVEN & SEVEN IS, and GENERATION LANDSLIDE are classics from this album. If you like new wave and punk then you should enjoy this album.

The album is great fun but watch the videos on You Tube (using your iPhone!) at your own peril ... they're absolutely awful.
  • Rock, Punk Rock, & New Wave All In One!!!

I remember this recording very clearly and now after 15 years as a US Army Special Forces soldier and 23 years of sevice I find "Who Do You Think We Are" extremely amusing. It reminds me of some of the officers I have met over the years. "Seven & Seven Is" rocks, "Greneration Landslide 81" is just as hot as it was with the original AC band. "You Look Good in Rags" is a favorite and one of the rockers on this record. All other selections are very punk rockish & new wave. Good songs but you have to be a true AC fan to really enjoy them. Buy it!!!
