The Hives and Cyndi Lauper have created a song that captures the true Christmas Spirit! People mess up and that's exactly how this song portrays it, but in the end...it's Christmas so all is forgiven! With amazing lyrics and a wonderful melody A Christmas Duel is a must have in any Christmas music collection, and you'll even be able to listen to it all year round! A great gift for the Holiday Season and any fan must have.

The Boys in Black (and white) have Teamed up with the original girl who just wants to have fun and created a Crude Christmas Carol. A tune which informs listeners and fans Just how this duo spends the Holiday season. Finally a christmas tune that doesn't sugar coat what happens in real life situations. When was the last time you saw Frosty the snowman come alive?! Or Physically saw the red nosed reigndeer?! Thats right, you never have and never will. I for one will be playing the real life situations of A CHRISTMAS DUEL while unwrapping gifts on christmas morning.

If that line dosn't say it, I'm not sure what can! The Hives alone could not have written such a fantastic Christmas tune, but thanks to the Queen from Queens the job was done, and done well. Personally my favourite Christmas tune written in the last few years. You can't help but sing along and feel odly in the Christmas spirit when you listen to this toe-tapping punk rock bop number.
  • Awesome new song!

You might think The Hives and Cyndi Lauper are a strange mix, but if anyone can pull off this clashing of styles, it is the Hives! And pull it off they do. In the tradition of punk rock Christmas songs, this is not something you would play at your grandmother's house on Christmas day. This song starts off nicely enough, but it soon turns--and what a fantastic turn it takes! If it's the only thing you ever buy on iTunes (as is likely the case for me), buy this song!

I love good Christmas music but what I love about this song is that it has the sound of great Christmas music but with lyics that are so much more fun. I'll be singing this song all season!

Being a person who likes Christmas, and can tolerate the traditional holidy tunes, this was a refreshing twist on a Christmas song. It has totally put me into the Christmas spirit, and is a great gift idea to The Hives lover! Even if you had never heard The Hives before, it is still a fabulous song!!
  • The best Christmas song written...

..But then again, what else can you expect from The Hives? This is not your usual Christmas tune. Its lyrics are hilarious, its melody simply great, and its Cyndi Lauper peppy-ness irresistable. Go on and buy this song, it makes a wonderful Christmas gift, too. :)

Good for you for having to delete this song. That means you bought it because you listened to others instead of hearing it first for yourself. I don't care if you are a huge Hives fan or a huge Cyndi Lauper fan. I don't care if the song is only $.99. You should listen to it before you buy it instead of ragging on those people who's reviews let you down. This isn't Cyndi Lauper and this isn't the Hives. It's a collaboration between the two. This isn't a pop hit single. This isn't a rock single. This is two artists getting together to experiment. If you were expecting otherwise, then it's YOUR fault for not listening to the 30 second clip first.
