I was rather curious to hear Cyndi tackle these country songs, knowing her talent, I knew she would do her best, but didn't know whether the end result would sound forced & overproduced...Detour is simply an amazing album that pays tribute to country hits made by diverse artists, with great arrangements, great musicians and a great direction! The gem for me it's the duet with Jewell " I wanna be a cowboy's sweetheart"....I can't stop yodelin' :) Thank you Cyndi for another great album, I would love to see you live performing these hits.

Saw her last night in Houston and had to grab this album. Her energy was amazing, and her voice was so crisp. Didn't disappoint. For all the haters, get over it!

I love Cyndi Lauper as an artist and activist. Unfortunately, this album just doesn't resonate with me as much as I want want it to. Her renditions of these classics don't seem natural and true. I think her accent may be throwing me.

Yikes! I really wanted to like it because I like most of her other music, but sadly, not her genre.

Cyndi Lauper is a true perfectionist, these songs are classics & her singing them adds a different flavor to them & makes them more relatable to me. I think it's gonna be my personal soundtrack this Summer & year. ENJOY ALL

Miss Lauper is one of those artists who is not afraid to tackle any genre. I have always enjoyed her unique voice and style. I love so many types of music, and she really knows how to belt out a song!
