It seems that I cannot get my mind off of Jeff Porcaro . He constantly occupies my every beautiful thought. Seeing all those images of him on my I-pad screen and hearing his voice and drums through my headphones gives me the love chills. I wish that he was still alive today. That is why I want to remember him for what he did for Toto. I will be thinking of him especially now because. Two weeks from this Sunday it would have been his 64th birthday so I plan my own special way of remembering by listening to all the songs of Toto on my I-pod and watching videos on my I-pad . Rest in peace and please continue to excite my heart as you always do . Meow I love you . I got the opportunity to meet Fergie Fredrickson, the singer on this album, back in June 2011. I met him at a Deep Purple concert in Minnesota and he was sitting four rows up from me! He's a great singer and this album rocks!

Toto has two sides to them β€” the jazzy and the hard-rocking one β€” which they switch back and forth from album to album. Isolation represents the hard-rocking Toto with all the songs tuned up to exhilarate the listener with its blend of pumping keys and hard-driving guitar. My favorite tracks are the three adrenalin-inducers β€” endless, isolation, and mr. friendly β€”that come back to back on the album in a way to make you burn some calories from listening excitement alone. In a parallel world, where classy-music is celebrated, I suspect, this band must be king!
  • The Most Underrated Toto album!

While this record will never be as well known as some of their others, this is a real treat. A refreshing and different sound for the band, and the sonics are terrific. Endless and Isolation are two incredible tunes back-to-back, especially if you like the Steve Porcaro Synths and the blistering Luke solos. The Isolation Luke Solo is still one of his best ever. Check it out!

Big fan of TOTO since about 1984. I don't own but a few CDs of theirs but "Endless" is probably my favorite off all their songs!

This is Toto's first album after the departure of Bobby Kimball... This is my least favorite Toto Album because I think Fergie Frederiksen is a poor replacement for the departed Bobby Kimball!!! Fergie has a very distinct voice (distinctly annoying, in my opinion!) I think Toto catered their music on songs sung by Fergie to fit his style.... Notice how Steve Lukather or David Paich is singing on the ballad's "How does it feel," and "Holyanna" and not Fergie! Because with all due respect to Paich and Lukather, here, Fergie's vocal's on this album sound ALL THE SAME! :^() It is nice to see D. Paich's vocals shine on "Holyanna," though... My favorite song on this album is "How Does It Feel," sung by S. Lukather. I think Luke has a unique gift that all good singers do, you feel their words as they sing them... I think Toto fans looking for Steve to Rock out on this album will be disappointed... Go for Kingdom Of Desire, or any of Luke's solo albums to really hear him rock out!!! It's no wonder to me that Fergie onIy lasted one album! I think the best replacement for Kimball after he left was Joseph Williams (son of John Williams) J.W.'s best album? I think it was Fahrenheit... Kimball makes a triumphant return in "MindFields" (1999)

I have been a huge fan of toto since 1982 & own all their records. I luv them all but if I could only pick one, Isolation is the one that I would keep. It's got lots of energy, great production & songwriting and many potential hits like: Carmen, Lion, Endless, Mr. Friendly and Holyanna. Oh yeah the musicians are pretty good too. ;) This album should have gotten way more attention than it did cuz the songs are just as good as the earlier material only harder rocking. One of the biggest reasons this album really rocks is the new lead singer - Fergie Frederickson. Toto has changed their lineup & sound many times over the years & have had at least 4 different lead singers. But i'd have to say that Fergie Frederickson is my all time favorite & not just becuz he's from my hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. It's becuz he brought a new fresh sound to the group, has a great voice & his range was perfectly suited for the harder edged - Isolation, which is the hardest rocking album that Toto has ever made & in my opinion, the most underrated as well. Not a weak song from beginning to end & shows Toto at the top of their game. Buy this album. You won't regret it!
