I like toto but didn't like this album, it didn't have that hook that toto is known for. The best song is bottom of your soul, it comes close to what they are known for a rocking beat with a little extra added like great harmony's with Joseph Williams and Bobby Kimball. Through the looking glass was a good album that showed how toto can sing and play different types of styles of music.

Being a fan of TOTO for more than 30 years, I don't recall profanity in any of their music. Because of that I was a little stunned to hear the word "f**k" in "Taint Your World". I like the album. TOTO has done some great work over the years and this is no exception. I thought Apple would have posted an explicit lyric warning. My kids could be listening to this soon, and they don't need to hear the language.

The production here as with all Toto's works is smart and superb. It's always a pleasure to listen to real music, Jeff Porcaro is missed as the original solid back beat drummer for the band and Simon Phillips again, has certainly complimented him and the band with his tremendous abilities and clear contributions yet never over playing. My thought as to why Toto hasn't experienced the "worthiness" in the USA as it has in Europe is they don't write formulas to make money selling out to the corporate establishment, they are true to there talent and it's here. There is no quick repetitive hook, turn up the distortion and a few might appel to metal heads. I'moneofem' I'm greatful for iTunes ;)

toto cant make a bad song and they get better and better ,they have proven that the time spent together can season a group so totaly, steve lukather arguably the best guitar player and song writer in one ever. his voice is very strong and perfectly balanced and his guitar solos amaze me. as a whole they still are mesmerizing . i never realized they were this good "rosanna" and "africa" was about all i knew of ,and was amazed how much more there was that really rocks.check out the live version of this its amazing ! and king of the world and the opening track are as good as possible. toto im sorry about jeff what a blow ! he was a great person always smiling ...... toto come back together

But maybe not as good as I would expect from Toto. What even brought me here was listening to a band called Work Of Art and their release Artwork. I couldn't believe their likeness to Toto...so I thought I would check out Toto...the unfortunate thing is...Work Of Art actually sounds more like Toto than Toto does. It's still Toto so worth listening to but kind of disappointing.

Every song on here is excellent. Not only is this my favorite Toto record, but its the best that I've ever listened to. Its a little different style compared to their other stuff, a little more on the metal side but they did an incredible job.
  • One of the best from Toto

Listen to this one a couple of times. I liked it right away but after really listening to the musicianship, which has always been a Toto trademark, I rank this album up in with my top ten albums purchased in recent years - Way to go Toto!

I was so happy when I learned of some more TOTO....the world can't have too much TOTO....I always compare every TOTO song past or present and any other artist as well the THE SEVENT H ONE....but Falling in Between fixed a hurt I had for more TOTO and am very pleased with this release. As always, the vocals are sharp, clear, powerful and melodic...and sound overall is precise and very rich. The music here is very complex and deep and soulful...yet you still get the feel of the punch these geniuses pack as you let the music get into your head. God Bless TOTO....you made my weekend..It's great...and almost as good as the Seventh One....but that will forever be a hard act to follow

Who cares if there is a hit single on this CD or not (even though there probably is)! You have to respect musicians who are absolutely the BEST at what they do. I've been involved in the music business for over 25 years and there is not a professional musician alive that hasn't been inspired in some way by these guys. This CD is true to the Toto tradition. Thanks guys!
