His voice is so unique, and his ideas and the basis of his lyrics so prescient as well as enduring. Thank you Mr. Waters for a beautiful work of musical and critical art.
  • A life without Mr Waters Music, not as good as With ;/

I first heard Amused to Death after I got home with the disc from Sound Warehouse. Listened in full and put in into rotation,LOVED it's spatial quality and surround effects, easily toptenFloydPlaylist. lived life...Fast forward/skip ahead to "that" afternoon when I searched iTunes for the keyword Death and you know, I don't recall listening then. But the title lodged itself in me noodle and I continued along the Path of "You're Dying Putz, whatever you want to be to your sons, GET TO IT. Boy!! Lately could be when I briefly owned a pair of KHorns and began relistening to my fave discs through those AWESOME speakers. As I've come to terms with the brain cancer and who I actually am now, Animals, WYWH, Wall, Animals, Final Cut, Raos KAOS and Amused to Death have at varying points Soundtracked my feelings and the texture of the tapestry skirted along my Path. My writing is now centered around the Frivolous and uneccessary nature of cutting open my skull and scrapped me out when the OIL from a Simple and Awesome plant would have resolved the matter without so much as a headache. So ALL of the alienation and oppression tones wmote intensely to me. Rog and the guys keep me from taking too much of this seriously.
  • This is an anthology of our time.

While listening to this music, I envision sitting in front of a TV set and this is the programming. I am very thankful that my hopes and fears are expressed in such a touching way. I am 64 and on the short side of this life. I have experienced much here. My real concerns are focused on the young. What will their lives offer them? Thank you for giving me a place to go to know others live with a vision of hope by exposing human mental ills. I believe there are still more of us than the greedy and self serving. The music boost my confidence in that. Thank You.

He wrote this in response to the 91 Blood-for-oil fest It is so relevant for the atrocity we blundered through from 03 till .... His lyrics are brilliant his music is unique and hisstyle is genius. Too bad he seems to believe his superior talent and his incomparable ability to articulate his reasnable humane views with dynamic chords and beautiful melodies make him asuperior human being. He is not.His talent ar exceeds anyone I've ever followed--but what I've seen and read of his personality is disappointing. Amused To Death is, however, better than any Pink Floyd album. Try it. Do you agree?
  • A masterpiece

This is one of the greatest albums of all time. Beautiful execution by all people involved. Unfortunately, the message is just as relevant, today, as it was when it was written.
  • Probably the best record ever made!

Layered and subtle and then huge and pummeling…this record is probably the best ever made. It is a concept record and one you really should listen to start to finish. Also read the Neil Postman book “Amusing Ourselves To Death” that inspired the writing of this record. The Jeff Beck stuff on here is just jaw dropping. An absolute classic record.
  • There is nothing that comes close to this!
