I judge Roger Waters by his music, not by his politics. These are amazing renditions of his and Pink Floyd’s work. Lovely

This album sounds like it was hastily put together, with little musical depth or quality. His solo version of The Wall was very good (but not as good as the Pink Floyd version), but this album lacks the instrumentals and musical harmonies to balance his rough-edged singing. It's time for Roger to either get a new band to put some real music behind his vocals, or to give it up.

I wasn’t going to review till I saw people giving 1 star because of politics. People seem to forget how political Pink Floyd was and blasting Roger for continuing to make music in this manner is ridiculous. I saw him live in 2022 and he opened with this alternative version of Comfortably Numb, at the time I was disappointed because it’s such an epic song but have grown to love it. I am happy he released these Alt tracks from the show and the new ones he shared with the audience. The songs have a haunting sound which I think for the time he recorded we all should understand.

I enjoyed the fresh looks of these great Floyd and solo Roger’s songs. To the Roger naysayers, politics aside, Roger has nothing to prove to anyone. As a big Gilmore fan David did an outstanding job of singing and adding an unique and powerful guitar sound and vocals to Roger’s collection of compositions.

  • The negativity astounds me

I’ve been a lifelong fan of PF despite RW’s politics and views. I’ve always loved the songs off ‘The Final Cut’. I remember seeing the YouTube releases of these songs and was mesmerized by these arrangements. I’m glad that these have been released as an album. I cannot understand at all the negative reviews of these songs. Your opinions are your own, but you truly baffle me in your derision. The ladies singing backup? Exquisite. The band? Fantastic. Roger? Singing these songs as an old man makes them more soulful. My suggestion is that you separate the man’s personal, political views from his art.
  • What happens in lockdown should remain under lockdown

For Comfortably Numb alone I give it one star. I don't think he could ruin this song anymore than this if his life depended on it. With each tour he starts singing more songs he has zero business singing. Wasn't ruining Wish You Were Here enough?! Just please stop, retire and go away.
