For anyone who doesn't have any of the Original Bootlegs, buying them is highly recommended. All of the bootlegs are amazing; they're packed with old favorites, newbies from The Beekeeper, covers, rarities, b-sides and more! Tori Amos live at Royce Hall, LA is one of the best concerts she released. Tori opens the show with a great rendition of 2005's "Original Sinsuality", then dives right into "Silent all these Years", met with deafening screams from the apprieciative crowd. Tori plays a long intro on the piano to "Doughnut Song", and gives a melancholy, passionate performance of this song. She sings the background vocals "You can tell me it's over/so baby it's over/you can tell me again and again/you can tell me over your shoulder" as its own verse, which is fabulous. She sings "Yes, Anastasia", although she doesn't sing "We'll Seeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" uber high as she does on the Auditorium Theatre bootleg, or on Under the Pink, but she rocks the house anyway with vocals and piano-pounding. On "Cool on Your Island", a song orginally on the 1980's flop Y Kant Tori Read, is played here slowly and thoughtfully on her Fender Rhodes Electric Keyboard. Tori plays 2 covers during "Tori's piano bar", then jumps headfirst into "Barons of Suburbia", pounding out the chords on both the Hammond A100 organ and the Bosendorfer simutaniously. She plays "Take to the Sky" with gusto, then eases into "Ruby through the Looking-Glass", orginally on Scarlet's Hidden Treasures. She plays a poingant "Toast" and an agressive "Sweet the Sting" before ending with the optimistic, gental "Twinkle" a la Boys for Pele. Over all, this is a wonderful concert. From the moment she walks on stage to the moment she plays the last note of the night on "Twinkle", this concert is beautiful.
