Where's Tim O'Brien? Why does Tim O'Brien only sing one duet...on one song..on one album? "All God's Angels" is great with Tim O'Brien! Kate and Tim should have made a whole duet album, in my opinion.
  • Fantastic!

Grandsonmost dear at age 25 hit phase Of depression we didn't anticipate and committed suicide last July. He was such a kind Dear Big personality and had touched so many people that his Loss is Suffered by many. He had worked with habitat for Humanity, and he had worked with autistics fora year Who loved him. Wherever he went, He was known for his kindness, And He is missed greatly by family, friends, everyone who'd met him and we knew he had waves of depression but Had No idea how deep these waves could be or how often they could strike. We did not see it coming.Your song dealy with daughters of heaven I quickly translate to sons, grandsons, all of us ,but at present,my precious Zachary, and your song speaks to me in a special way .I know Zack is right there---but your song reminded me of Gods abundant grace, and how close,HOW CLOSE Zack is to his dear mommy who is hurting so, to his wonderful daddy, and to his Katy who is and was Sister, Buddy, Best Friend--- Your song brings comfort to all the songwriters in this family who right now,a year AFter the suicide, have nowill nor creativity to write anything,-- YOUR song reminds us how well our dear Zachary is and that we must go on --which is what he would Want us to do, Caring for other people doing for others, Making a difference

I had the pleasure of meeting Kate when I owned a Celtic Imports company (Gael Force Imports and a Celtic Music Magazine called the Reed and Chanter). She enthralled me with her warmth and talent, I was an instant fan. Kate's recordings are real treasures I can not pick out ONE that isn't brilliant. Her voice displays the passion that she has for this type of folk music. Her mix of traditional tunes and self composed music is worth exploring. Her voice is comforting and shines with each note. This 2 CD set contains newer versions of some of her best work produced over the last 20 years. The selection of fellow musicians that she has chosen to perform with is a list steeped in tradition and even a few surprises like her version of "who will sing me lullaby’s" with Radiohead's Phil Selway or Kate and Mary Chapin Carpenter singing "Home" So, it is with great pleasure that I whole heartedly recommend ANY of Kate’s recordings. And this new CD set doesn’t disappoint. Browse the samples and you will see why her fans exude such great passion for her music and follow her career closely now for the last 20 years (good gracious how it can be that long) Thank you for your time. For anyone who is not familiar with Kate Rusby's fine oeuvre of excellent music, by all means jump on in and see why so many of us (fans and critics alike) simply cannot get enough of her. It's great to see some old favorites ("Planets," "Mockingbird" and "Wild Goose") get a new coat of paint, but it is the sheer brilliance of this retrospective that leaves me breathless at what a talent Kate Rusby possesses. She is a true folksinger in that each one of her tunes is filtered through the voice of an extraordinary storyteller. Good on you, Kate -- you hit this one out of the park. Here's to another "20."
