Pandora played me the title song of this album yesterday. I downloaded the whole thing and have listened to it three times already. It's wonderful -- all original music that's fun, jazzy, and eclectic. I'm so glad to have found it. I love the classics, but it sure is great to have new stuff to listen to.For the classics, I love "We Three Kings" by the Roches.

I never write reviews, but I love this CD. It's so refreshing when artists pair so well. Furthermore, the writing is smart and sassy, lending joy to this CD. What I like even more is the originality - I don't need 12 versions of Santa Baby sung by 12 individual artists. One will do. For that reason alone - buy this! You'll love to mix it up!
  • Ingenious song writing!

This is an outstanding CD! Love Kathrin Shorr & can't find any other music by her. Chris Standring is 1 of the premier guitarists in the business that many have not heard of. But this may be his finest work. All non-traditional songs for those who are tired of the same ole same ole. Ranks up there with Michael Franks Christmas CD. Please, oh please, Kathrin, record more songs!!!!

One of contemporary urban jazz's most popular artists since the late 90s, Guitarist Chris Standring teams up with songstress Kathrin Shorr (Sweet Talk Radio) to present a stellar old school sounding, romantic flavored album of original vocal compositions, complete with lush string arrangements and sentimental holiday feelings. "I'm very much looking forward to Christmas albums from Carole King, She & Him, Joey + Rory. I can't wait to hear from John Zorn, Colbie Caillat, Trine Rein and Mindy Gledhill. I'm hopeful we'll land holiday albums from Percy Sledge, Jon Lindsay, and Gaga. But 'Send Me Some Snow' from Chris Standring and Kathrin Shorr, at this precise moment in time, stands at the top of my 'I seriously can not contain my excitement' list". - Stubby's House of Christmas "With the first single from his recent release of 'Blue Bolero' making waves on the charts, holding steady at #1 on R&R/Billboard and Mediabase, Chris Standring is on a roll. He went back in the studio to collaborate with Sweet Talk Radio's Kathrin Shorr on a holiday song entitled 'Send Me Some Snow' and the result is stunning. Kathrin has an absolutely great voice, at times reminding one of maybe Sheryl Crow, maybe Amy Winehouse, maybe Norah Jones, even a little Fiona Apple, but ultimately unique and captivating..." - Petered Out

Chris has captured the feeling of really great Christmas Music.Kathrins Shorr's voice is the perfect compliment. The feeling of hope, relationships and family resonates through out the album. I have always believed that the best Christmas music came from the mid forties when hope really was at the forefront of our thought. This fits right in.This collection has found it's place on my Christmas playlist.
