Outstanding blend for a unique film. The music is memorable and fits the film like a glove. This is one I want to own.

Harry Gregson-Williams has brilliantly merged the best aspects of "Science Fiction" and "Old West" movie scoring together in this soundtrack. The first track "Jake Lonergan" is a perfect example. Country style acoustic guitar mixed with tribal percussion, building with electric guitar and finally into a full orchestrated mix is truly breathtaking to listen to. To the person who rated it "Aweful" it's obvious you didn't like the movie. You seriously expected a John Wayne type score? I may be wrong but I don't recall there ever being aliens in a John Wayne movie. In the future please do us all a favor and complain about the movie under the movies ratings section.

I've never seen someone build a soundtrack so beautiful, style well country. It is the first time I see a good soundtrack with country. The track 1: Jake Lonergan is the best of all. AMAZING!!

I'm not usually big on the whole "western" sound, but I quite like some of these themes. I haven't seen the film yet, and imagine I would like it even more after seeing the music in context. I think it's more worthy of 4 1/2 stars, but since it's Harry, I thought I would round up.

Harry Gregson-Williams is one of my favorite composers. This soundtrack, at least what I have of it, doesn't let you down. "Attack and Abductions" and "Alien Air Attack" are classic examples of Harry's great work. Compared to the first two "Chronicles of Narnia" movie scores, it would get a 4 star. But, as its own thing it well deserves all 5!
  • One standout track

Jake Lonergan!!! Yes the movie was rather mediocre but this song makes up for it.
  • The best stuff from the film is missing from the score

The end of the film had a fantastic acoustic guitar tune that's completely missing from this score. Pretty lame, if you ask me.
  • Nifty score and flick!

While this soundtrack does have a few classic western type themes and elements, it also tells the story with odd, erie sound effects. A must for all western, SF, and suspense film lovers. Harry Gregson-Williams is definitly someone to look out for in the soundtrack buisness.... Also, if you don't like the movie's score, don't go and attack the composer. Just say you don't like the music and move on.
