  • Need You Bad - Derek St. Holmes who?

The one and only Ted Nugent! Derek St. Holmes who? Ted Nugent proved here on the song "Need You Bad that he was the star and talent and that both Derek St. Holmes and Rob Grange, no matter how talented they were, they were both replaceable and he was not. (Overall not quite as good songs on this album as on the 3 previous albums with Derek, but Derek was already gone during the recording of Free For All - Meatloaf & Ted sang the vocals on that album, so this album and State of Shock would be the 2 albums to fill out that era.)

It's not as good as his earlier albums but still very good nonetheless. It's Ted Nugent shredding guitar with another LP of great rock n roll songs! If you liked Cat Scratch Fever this one is very similar to it.

I graduated high school in 1980. My best friend and I were known as the "Weekend Warriors!" This was one our favorite albums throughout our high school years. We took the Motor City Madman with us wherever we were raising hell! Good friends and a bottle of wine brings back lots of great memories! Keep rocking Ted!

This is a great album, but his ealier albums were more NUGE!, if you know what I mean. The songs on this album are very good, but his earlier songs were more NUGE!, especially Stranglehood and Cat Scratch Fever. I would reccomened getting this album if you are a Ted Nugent fan. If you just want to buy a song from this album, get Weekend Warriors. Great album Ted!
