  • Old time Steven Stills!

His very first solo album. And it ranks as one of the hidden gems in rock. Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton are featured in two of the slower blues songs. Get it and find yourself back in the late 60s/early 70s

This is one of my all time favorite albums, has been for years. Old Times, Good Times and Go Back Home to this day are at the top of my favorite songs of all time. As of course is Black Queen. With all of the friends that he has helping out on this album it is without a doubt (in my mind anyway) one of the greatest albums ever made.

Tasty guitars on a few of these songs, yes? Who is playing that searing guitar on Old Times, Good Times? Maybe Jimi Hendrix? And whose guitar work on Go Back Home is so excellent so as to be a career landmark performance? Maybe a still young Eric Clapton? These two tunes are more than worth the price of admission, and make this album priceless!

Stephen Stills first solo album is one of my all-time favorite albums. This 42 year old album was great when it was released and continues to sound great now. All the way through. Bravo!! You will love this album. Really.

yeah a fav of anyone in 1970 that liked what CSN& Y were doing. Some interresting arrangements while Stills may have shot his wad on this one.He never seemed comfortable as a solo artist. Is it just me or do credits for Clapton and Hendrix seem to be on the wrong songs??? down load "old times Good times" sounds a Buffalo Springfield out take ....

A great record and along with Stephen Stills 2 are probably the only 2 solo albums of his that are must haves. The Manassas stuff is alright and not a waste of money. Although there are some good songs from his Columbia years none of the overall albums are worth getting. Cherry pick the gems. If you can find a copy of the out of print Stills Alone from 91 get it because it may very well be his overall best but hard to find.

Amazing album; Love the one your with, the most noteworthy song on the album, I think is one of the weaker moments. My personal favorite is Old Times Good Times, this collaboration with the god of rock guitar, the late Jimi Hendrix, is as good as it gets. If you like Stephen Stills and somehow missed this album, buy it.
