I enjoy all of Tim Janis' compilation and I think this is one of his best work by far. Grand Isle, for example, is a great track to listen to when you drive along a lengthy coast line. For me, I played my copy of Coastal America during my drive along the Pacific Coast Highway 1, passing through Big Sur towards Monterey. It was a breath taking experience!

    C. Kenneth lee has used his music for his on going fundraiser for mentally handicapped people and cancer patients. At least listen to Lee's music. Tim janis has always done it in every of his albums. worth collecting.

You know, it's funny. It seems that people will either really love this kind of music, or really not care for it at all. SImply stated, this album is borrowing sounds and thematic material from once-hip artists like Yanni and big-time soundtrack composers of films such as Titanic (James Horner). If you like that kind of sound, then this album is for you. If you're looking for originality, uniqueness, or anything sonically/melodically/harmonically new from someone who calls himself a composer, you won't find that here. There is nothing stretching about this album. Tim has his bag of sounds, shuffles them around in a new arrangement, and voila... a "new" album.
  • A daft composition

This CD is truly a nauseating compilation dreadfully sappy, wonderland-music. Even my almost fully deaf great grandmother would have begun preparing a noose in order to make the pain go away quicker, bless her soul.

I was deeply caught by the PBS offering of this latest Tim Janis work as one of their acclaimed fund raising specials. Instead of getting on my way with a planned evening of study, the music and musicians held my attention, and warmed my soul. I had to hear and see more of the show, as if savoring a piece of decadent dark chocolate cheesecake. I love to hear gifted violinists live their music, and was so was amazed to see someone play as well as a favorite of mine, Joshua Bell [Romance of the violin]. The flutist was of equal caliber. I was so deeply moved by this music, that I went online, and sent a copy to my sweetheart. The first track brought back images of how she is touched magically by such moving music, sending her into a dancing flight. What is so special is that I was touched, my heart was touched, and opened by this beautiful musical gift Tim Janis and his musicians gave us. Others were touched as well, as was indicated by their more positive comments. Is this new age music? Possibly not; but what does it really matter? Namaste

I love waking up in the morning and putting this album on. I sometimes even do yoga to this music. It is full of warmth, and has a full, uplifting sound. Another Tim Janis masterpiece!
