I too heard "Open Sky" on Pandora but never heard of Ryan Farish. I fell in love with the song and went to iTunes to buy it. I read the reviews and sampled a few songs. I bought the Greatest Hits right away. Buy it! It will fill you with joy!

Introduced to Ryan Farish not on TV, but through Pandora. I'm a big fan of "Greatest Hits" compilations because I can enjoy the best of an artists' repertoire without investing in too many albums or finding which singles are worthy of collecting.
It's hard to define exaclty what it is that Ryan is presenting; it's not necessarily smooth jazz nor is it new age nor is it purely electronic.
Being a huge fan of Paul Hardcastle and electronic music in general (not dance), this blends the mystical nature of David Arkenstone with the combination of tonal elements of Paul Hardcastle.
It's familiar sounding, yet at the same time, not.
Legacy, if it's your first foray into the world of Ryan Farish as was mine, is a most worthy album that entrances with its surprising layers of musical instrumentation.
A must buy.
