This is the version of "For the Kids" that John Rich sang on the finale of Celebrity Apprentice. Spare arrangement and acoustic guitar but nonetheless powerful and moving. John added special lyrics "we live to give so all the world may hear" which is the motto of The Starkey Hearing Foundation, the charity that Marlee Matlin was playing for on the show.

As a person who has spent years working to raise money for St. Jude's I can only say thank you for all you did this year. For the money, for the work, for the awareness and mostly for the time and love that you provided to St. Jude's. I cried my eyes out hearing John sing these beautiful and meaningful words on Celebrity Apprentice. It was made even more powerful by watching the young people and Marley sign the entire song. Wow! Couldn't wait to buy the entire album! Every song is amazing. What a great job you did, John, representing the Kids! Blessings!
