John Rich is an all around great guy especially after watching Celebrity Apprentice I realized how nice this guy is. He is also a great song writer and musician!

I saw John Rich at Taking Back America in Tulsa OK. He can write it, he can sing it, but by God he stands up for it! John and I both win on this. I get to hear his music over and over again, and my little contribution allows him to keep in front of America.
  • I love it!

Even though I was devastated that Big & Rich broke up, I love this CD! It goes to show that John Rich can make that soulful country music that makes America what it is!!!!
  • Shuttin Detroit Down - An Anthem?

John Rich hits the nail dead on. He tapped into the frustration people have with big companies being bailed out, bonuses, and the shuttering of the companies, anyway. These words might yet be the rallying cry of a Second revolution in this company, because if things keep going, we're in a lot of trouble. Good song, good man. He sees it.
  • Too bad.

I wanted this to be great, but: ouch. There are a few okay moments but overall, ouch.
  • This is an awesome albulm

John just proved he can have a successfull career on his own. He has everything in here. For example Shuttin Detroit Down was so straight forward, and to the point. Although Shuttin Detroit Down might be hitting the top 20 charts, the best song on this albulm has to be Everybody Wants to Be Me. It sounds like something that would be recorded with Big Kenny but without Kenny singing. Another You is a classic example of a good heart break country hit. The Good Lord and the Man is a patriotic tune. It might be just as good as 8th of November. While Why Does Somebody Always Have to Die is a sad song, it has a good messege to it. Drive Myself to Drink is just a crazy halrious song, and Preacher Man is just an awesome song that describes John Rich so well.
  • Too formula

JR is an amazing producer and that is what he should stick to. This album is a formula record that is a poor example of country music. Sure it has the components that we see in his hits for others but John is not strong enough on his own to carry it. Stick to producing for others and creating your fun blend of crossover country with your Mizik Mafia friends.
