  • Great songs, not a great album

I love many of the songs on this album so dont get me wrong. I own it even though there are a number of songs I always skip over. I just cannot rate it higher than 3 stars as an album as compared to great albums from start to finish. Still contains many of his greatest guitar works and many tunes with great hooks.

This album is definitely the best album joined with Surfing with the Alien and Time Machine. 5 stars!

This is an incredible album, start to finish, with the title track being one of his best ever songs. I could listen to it over and over a million times and still hear a new layer. Every song is Joe, pushing the limits, trying new things (such as singing, which works in this album), and giving the listener something new to behold. It's best listened to leaning back with eyes closed, amazed at the mastery. Or perhaps speeding down the interstate, moved by the energy. However you listen to it, you will be moved!

I always go back to this one. It was the Album that I used to drift off to, think with and have fun with. It is introspective, and covers all that Joe Satriani is as a musician in my very humble and un professional opinion. I can't say enough about it. It is the album that always has me coming back for his new stuff.
