    Not bad for the money. Short Ride is at a whizzing pace, but lacks the impact and triumph of other recordings. The Wound-Dresser is bleak, but is worth a listen. Berceuse Elegiaque is too flat to warrant repeat listens. The real deal is in the entrancing Shaker Loops. I've been dipping my toes into minimalism and John Adams, and Shaker Loops is what I enjoy most on this album.
