I'm an Amanda Palmer fan and I'm all for experiementing with new kinds of music, but this is super bizarre. I just don't get it. It kind of just sounds like a poetry slam in a coffee shop. The music and instrumentals add nothing to what they are saying. It's almost added on as an afterthought. I'm sure some diehard fans will rejoice at this album's brlliance, but I think Amanda is capable of so much more.

I've been a huge fan of Amanda since the DD days. Always will be a fan. I have only been disappointed twice. "You're On The Door" and this garbage of an album. In my opinion, this is one of the worst albums I have ever heard. I gave it two solid listens. And then wept openly for the money I spent. My advice, get the album. Decide for yourself. Get it through bandcamp for free. If you dig it, throw her however much money you normally throw. That way you don't waste your money, time and eardrums if you feel the way I feel.

A different route for Amanda to take, and it is worth going on for the ride! Give it a couple listens from start to finish and you'll find yourself lost in time.
