The reviewer CptEeyore completely has the facts incorrect, something that can easily be seen by visiting both the wiki pages of Cyndi Lauper as well as The Hooters. The writer claims that the "Time After Time" is a track by The Hotters and covered by Cyndi Lauper when in fact, the two songwriters from The Hooters, who were staff writers for Warner Brothers, were paid to write new songs for Cyndi Laupers debut album and for a new album for Ann Murray. Originally written for Ann Murray, "Time After Time" was turned down by Murray, lyrics were once again altered and offered to Lauper, who accepted and recored the track. Cyndi Lauper is the the first artist to record "Time After Time" in 1986. The Hooters did not record their version until 2010, well after numerous artist had covered the track.
