One of Sarah's best albums you could never go wrong she's the right kind of depression for me. Of that makes any sense to Sarah fans.
  • Excellent Compilation

iTunes is incorrect - this album was released in 1995, not 1989. These are raw recordings of the Fumbling Towards Ecstacy tracks - some of the finest songs McLachlan has ever written. The Freedom Sessions is an obscure release of renditions that showcases Sarah's genuine musical artistry - honest and humble talent, before her ascent to celebrity with Surfacing. I bought this CD at 14, and it *still* kicks around my playlist, over 15 years later. If you never experienced the 1990's Sarah, it's well worth the money - the sheer talent is timeless - these songs never get old, and the Ol' 55 cover is worth owning (beautiful).

I had this CD back in 94' and loved it! I just wish iTunes would include the video sessions that were available on the CD. You can see the love Sarah and the band have for their music.

My favorite of all of Sarah's albums. Listened to it nonstop in college. This album shows here raw talent.
  • Horrible Ol' 55 Cover

Think again before you try to imitate the best, whether it's Henley or Waits.

Thank God Apple finally got this on iTunes. This has my absolute favorite versions of several of Sarah's songs, especially this version of "Hold On"--it's far and away the best version out there.

these recordings are vulnerable and lovely in their simplicity, and i highly recommend this album. HOWEVER, do not buy this through iTunes-buy the actual cd, as the cd comes with half an hour of video and interactive media from sarah.
