It's got that Soul Gravy vibe like a gem made in a Garage, gnomezayin?

Got the pre-order and the new song. Looking forward to the full download. Updated review after getting the CD and then the album at their BTR concert. This is a freakin' awesome album and they are a great live band!
Wrong genre

This sounds more like rock than it does country. It might make for a decent rock album, but if this is considered country, it's a terrible album.

As a Ragweed fan, I was lost by the first effort. Granted I was saddened by the breakup, wasn't ready to let go, etc. My confusion is clear now, it was Seth's influence. He is a great artist, but I feel ruined the flow of the album. So now the new one. First listen, I thought what the hell? Now I can't quit listening. Great job guys, glad to hear Cody take lead on all songs and the writing is great. Finally what I expected from the departed.
Best Departed album yet

This isn't Ragweed, but that doesn't matter. This is by far the best album the Departed has released. Just as good as any Ragweed album. There isn't a single song on here that I don't like.

Cody Canada & The Departed deliver musical perfection on Hippie Love Punk. Ragweed fans know what I am talking about. As for new fans, if you dig this and want more, go get yourself some Cross Canadian Ragweed to complete your Red Dirt playlist.

Doesn't matter if you dig country, country rock, classic rock, radio rock... this is just another excellent piece of work by Cody and his boys. Back to more of the standards he and Ragweed set... and with the same vibe. Gonna wear this one out - I can see it coming.
