Classic Rock by Poison

Native Tongue was the most respectable release from Poison's glory days. The musicianship was at its peak all around, and the general feel was more Hendrix and less of a blatant attempt to sell records. But because it was void of a big pop anthem, it was largely overlooked. I don't think the songs or guitar solos are as memorable as with CC. But Native Tongue is perfect for rock fans today because it's a really good album overall, and it will be something new for many.

Love this album, especially everything after 7 Days Over You. I love how they put a a bluesy tone into the songs. Just too bad Ritchie didn't get along with the band. This was my favorite album of the 90's, it just doesn't get the AirPlay it deserves.

This album is very experimental, with a different guitarist named Richie as a replacement for C.C Deville Poison becomes more mature and very instrumental. The sound is elegantly and wise, the lyrics are political and spiritual making Native Tongue Poison's Black Album sort off. The album is solid but Poison is known for being very commercial and this album was too dark for fans. Is a shame really since it is the best album the Band did. After this album Poison never recovered making it the last Poison album that really mattered.
