Are We There Yet?

If you're a fan of The Beatles, XTC, Fountains of Wayne, Simon and Garfunkel, Van Halen, The Cars, The Muppets, laughter, smiling, dancing, and in general being warmly reminded of your own sweet adolescence I think you'll love this record. I dare any parent to listen to the last track "All Grown Up" and not find a lump in his/her throat.

I was driving down the road with my 6 and 8 year old daughters. We were jamm'in to these awesome, yet wholesome beats. I suddenly realized the magnitude of the lyrics. I was so touched that this music could entice both young and old listeners. I related mostly to "I didn't get my note signed." Although both of my daughters fell in love with the lighthearted vibe of "When Grandma says no." Oh yes, the entire family had a good solid laugh at that one, even Daddy!! If you want to bring your family closer through music, I highly recommend you check out this album.

We have raised our two boys to appreciate musical talent from the very beginning and it's amazing how difficult finding quality music that's appropriate for our whole family has been for us! The Verve Pipe has masterfully taken the word smithing and musical arrangement genius that has brought them so much success in the adult alternative rock genre and applied it to their first album (A Family Album) and now to this one. Our boys laugh out loud at the lyrics. And it's even inspired our oldest boy to learn guitar! Buy this album (and the previous family album). You won't regret it.
