Hearing their music from this album makes me feel like in the picture on their album cover, surrounded by endless blue sky and water

The whole thing is great of course, but I only have two words to say: OCEANS BURNING. That is all. Enjoy.
These guys rock!

Got to see these guys at the Paradise in Boston when they were in town on 4/11/12. Very small venue but these guys were excellent. I bought a copy of this album, on vinyl, while there and all the band members signed it after the show. Great music, great guys, great show. As for the album, well, this and Primary Colors are the best IMO. I don't think you've seen the last of them!
Great!

The Horrors just made a dream pop record that the Stone Roses would be proud of
Synthphonic

The first impression I get when listening to the first few tracks is "symphonic" or maybe that's synthphonic. You can easily imagine yourself on a cosmic ride through multi-colored clouds while listening to this. It's as if The Horrors spent their first album in a dank basement and went on to realize that it was a beautiful day outside. Overall, the sound is much more celebratory in nature compared the moodiness of the previous album. In fact, it comes quite close to being an homage to Britpop, particularly to The Verve - only more 80s - especially with a track like Endless Blue. Then there's Wild Eyed which seems to come from psychedelic 60s territory, instrumentally sounding like The Beatles circa Magical Mystery Tour.
Best of 2011!

Wow, the 80's Post Punk Goth Rock movement is back in the year 2011. There still is some great music out there and The Horrors Skying proves it.
