Lisa has magnified her talent for music, in the beautiful creation titled Expecting Miracles. When you listen to the song, its as if she reveals the passion within her soul. My second favorite song on this album is Seven Days of Winter. This musical piece exemplifies the artistic nature of both Lisa and Tim, in their life long devotion to music, love and the search for tranquility.

As anyone who has read my posts knows, I don't post often. I only take the time to write when the music truly moves me; when it is in my CD rotation and enjoyed regularly. Once again, Opus Fromus has filled a slot in the CD changer. Having enjoyed Lisa Pressman's instrumentals and vocalise (vocals sans lyrics) from previous albums, I was delighted to hear this first offering of Lisa singing words in “Expecting Miracles”. As anyone familiar with the art form knows, singing lyrics presents a new set of challenges. In both the solo lines and the "choir", the challenge was met, and the effect ranges from sublime to dazzling. While I must profess a particular preference for the first song, “The Poetry of God” (the harmonies in the choir have actually made me sigh) each track is a gem. Once again, Brava, and while I can't wait to hear what Tim and Lisa have planned for the future (for those who haven't heard Lisa's partner Tim Ponzek, you are in for a treat- try the CD “Every Room an Ocean View” to start), I rest comfortably with these tracks that I will be enjoying for a long, long time.

Lisa's music is always inspiring. And Expecting Miracles is at the highest level. I found "Poetry of God" transported me to a deep and tranquil place. The entire album left me with a feeling of peace and joy. I will return to this album again and again.

Few New Age recording artists are as versatile as Lisa Pressman. "The Poetry of God" has a nice, ethereal hook, the piano progressions on "Expecting Miracles" are enchanting and "Perfect Calm" paints a story without lyrics. If you bought all 14 tracks individually, you'd pay $18. So, save yourself six bucks and buy the whole album.
