  • One More Story... My Favorite

The song One More Story is one of my favorite Cetera songs, and this album is just fantastic. I always said that if I could sing, this is the guy I’d like to sound like. He has a tremendous range and he knows how to use his voice. I wish I had been fortunate to see him with Chicago, I did not see him in concert until just after Chicago was voted into the hall of fame. He got a standing ovation for just walking out on the stage ! If ever I can’t sleep I put on the song One More Story and repeat it. It puts me to sleep because it’s a lullaby. His most recent recording (of new material) is called Another Perfect World and it has never been available on itunes. Saxman

This album is not for everybody and thats the only reason it did not get 4 stars...The songs are very mature and are not for kids/teens...they are for adults and very educated listeners..but down to the review: **Best of Times**--Not very catchy..one of the worst Cetera openers--2 STARS **One Good Woman**--Cetera classic..very romantic and cathy hook...best song on album--5 STARS **Peace of Mind**--OK just Ok nothing special--3 STARS **Heaven Help This Lonely Man**--The silent hit of the 80s very good song unique style for Cetera--4 STARS **Save Me*--Another could-been..very good-4 STARS ***The rest of this album get 3.5 stars except for the closing track very good way to end a record*** TOTAL ALBUM RATING-- 4 STARS SHOULD I BUY THIS-- Only if your a serious collector or a educated/mature listener to apreachiate good artwork.

Anyone notice the voice of the woman in "Scheherazade"? Credited as Lulu Smith which is also one of Madonna's aliases. Listen for her superb backing vocal (yes, it really is her Madgesty- especially if you consider Patrick Leonard was involved in the production)...
  • Another Great Solo Offering

Released in 1988 right on the heels of a tour supporting Solitude Solitaire, One More Story is yet another great post-Chicago offering. Cetera's vocals are in top form; over the years this project has aged a little better than it's slightly over produced predecessor. The album contains the number one hit single "One Good Woman", the enchanting "Scheherazade", as well as "Save Me" which some of you may remember as the theme song from season 1 of Baywatch. The title track is another great standout, as it's a touching softly sung lullaby to his daughter. All in all there really isn't a bad song on here, it's one of those albums you can pretty much put on and listen to all the way through. Whether your a fan of Chicago or Cetera, I'm sure you'll be very happy with this one

I remember listening to this album as a kid when they only had tapes. I would never get sick of it... It brings back memories of just sitting in my room listening to it. To this day I still love this group of music. I'm glad iTunes has it. Even if they didn't I would buy it from the store, that's how mush I love it.
  • solid 80's album

this record came out in 1988 and it sounds like it. Patrick Leonard's production (who later worked with Madonna) is without question rooted in the sound of the era, but you have to love the musicians involved, which include Pink Floyd's David Gilmour on 'Body Language' and 'You Never Listen to Me'. a good album from beginning to end.
