This is real music. It really makes me wonder when this is no longer song-writing, and has become orchestration.
Just a real listening pleasure!
Perfect

I was told about this album by my brother and I haven't been able to stop listening to it since. I paint houses and find myself listening to nothing but this album over and over all day. I feel that it should be listened to as an album and not singles. One song flows into the next perfectly. His use of melody and unusual combinations of instruments plays beautifuly on my ear. I will continue to enjoy this album and look foward to buying some more. If he manages to make all 50 albums I will certainly buy all of them.
Clever, Mr. President.

This album has become one of my favorite to listen to, soothing and mellow to the bone. It has haunting licks and sequences you find yourself replaying over in your head or rewinding to hear a section again just to make sure you've taken it all in.
Just listen to a sample, if you like it but are hesitant about the rest of the album not being the same, put it to rest. Try it, you'll like it.
oh my sufjan.

Poetic

This is a really good album from an interesting artist. The songs are very poetic. I have always been one of those people that really listened to the lyrics in a song. I find this a very unique type of album. Not only are the lyrics original, but so is the music. I like the softness of the songs here. I don't like albums where people yell at the top of their lungs, yet have nothing to say. I see Sufjan Stevens as a thinking person, who is in touch with the world around him. My three favorite songs are the silly "Night Zombies", the title track "Come On! Feel the Illinoise" and the most serious one "Casimir Pulaski Day". This is a really good and varied album.
Great

If you're looking for good music and have not yet heard of Sufjan Stevens, well have fun. You should listen to this as a whole because its all good. His instruments to his voice to his lyrics, you can tell this guy really cares and is very passionate about his music just listen to John Wayne Gacy, Jr. Hell just listen to the whole thing. You will get your moneys worth and some. If your a new listener start here then go to Michigan or Seven Swans, and if your into holiday Christmas music he's got that too. and people stop bustin his case on the whole 50 albums 50 states thing, for how Good his albums are I find that almost impossible to do. Maybe not for Sufjan but come on thats 50 cd's. Thank You Sufjan Stevens for your music, couldnt live without it.
Brilliant.

Despite the long song titles this album's on my iPod as i just can't stop listening to it. A concept it may be, it echoes Joni Mitchell,Stereolab,Bacharach,The High Llamas,Brain Wilson and the Flaming Lips all combined in one!
