i know this is not typically noted as son volt's "best" -- but it's definitely my favorite. there's such brooding warmth to these songs. it makes me long to be 22 and on a late night drive through midwestern backroads. one of my favorite "late-summer" albums (along with wilco's "being there" and ryan adams' "heartbreaker". just timeless music.

Son Volt return with chimichanga dust magnetations, as evidence of the happening of view machinery meanings. The streetside blue living of bevels. Look into the protective ust coat of sandy time. Driving in the parralells of streak shining. When Jay sings, "What I's give for that HAT to be MEDICINE" you can somewhere in ear shot anyone can stand up and think "YEAH MAN" and then like, whatever else they would think when you hear that. Way to go guys, Way to spend the time man.
