I guess kids like this type of stuff but what about us parents? Rhythm 'n Kids, if you haven't heard it yet is the exact opposite of this, quality music that kids and parents will love. Check it out, I'm on a mission to change the quality of kids music!!
  • More great music for EVERYONE (this time in Spanish)

Dan Zanes and Friends latest release features all that you love about the band: wild, energetic collaborations and quieter songs with tremendous raw beauty. Oh, but the songs are in Spanish! They've come a long way since "Malti." This collection of favorites from several Latin American countries is, as Dan says in his concerts, his pro-immigration CD. Thanks, Dan, for giving our kids (and us!) a great time while provoking interest in Hispanic culture and vital social issues.

Those who like Dan Zanes anyway will like this as well; basically, a whole album of those latin numbers that have been sprinkled through his previous releases. Somehow, even after being gobbled up by Disney, Zanes is still himself. He brings his typical eclectic, folk approach to a collection of latin songs in this album with an underlying pro-immigration, or at least pro-diversity, context. For those who don't yet know this guy, he's the best kid's music artist out there, because both kids and parents can honestly say they like his music. He's the only artist we don't automatically turn off when the kids fall asleep listening to it.
