The album version has the intro to Tin Man recorded by an orhestra behind the duo. Where O where is it?

America are true "artists." Indeed, their AM friendly songs put a lot of the warmth in the yellow smiley face that was the early 1970's. I read one review of this record that says "it's not the same without Dan Peek." Perhaps, but with this recording, America succeeded where so many others have failed miserably: they re-made their songs BRILLIANT in a new way playing them with an orchestra! Different? Sure, but updated to make the most of much improved sound gear available to listeners! After listening to this album for the first year I owned it (on vinyl) in '77, I found these versions replacing the originals on my life "soundtrack." Many artists play a song for years only to "improve" it later through new experience and interpretation. Instead of just throwing together some back up musicians and stale charts for a tour, they put a lot of work into new ARRANGEMENTS and pulled it off BRILLIANTLY! It is still classic America, just version 2.0, and I urge all America fans who haven't heard this album or listened to America for awhile to open their minds (as early 70's artists would have you do!) and put this album of timeless songs on their modern I Pods for a few rotations to make some NEW memories on your life soundtrack!

Best album they ever made. I believe it was recorded at the Greek theater in L.A. I have seen this band about 100 times over the years and still go and see them today. Gerry and Dewey can still get it done. Woodsie is still awsome and Mr. Leacox is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Greg

The songs are all beauties but since Dan Peek is absent from the lineup is not the same. For example: listen to Hollywood when the 3 were together and listen to this one. It is not even the fact that this is not a Dan Peek song but when the 3 played together it just sounded so much better. Surely the 2 carried the franchise "America" and kept singing their songs but with Dan out of the equation it no longer sounds the same. Okey, smoke a fatty and listen to the album Holiday and then listen to any (I don't care which) of their later albums when 3 - 1 became 2 and compare! 3 was better than 2!

I just love the live version of Horse With No Name. Amber Cascades is also excellent. I had this album in high school and have never seen it since, Thanks for bringing it to itunes
