Don't forget Jimmy Page played session guitar on this album. Now that you know, you'll be able to hear his work in the tracks. You're welcome.

    I doubt you were around during this era . . . . . . either that, or you've suffered a concussion . . . .

Lyrics repetitive and boring. I grew up in this era and a lot of good music came out of it including some by Donovan. Compared to Hurdy Gurdy Man this album seemed to be a song writer in training. Everyone's tastes are different and I urge you to sample all the songs before buying the album. I didn't and was sorely disappointed. Bummer, man.

.."You've Got To Pick Up Every Stitch!"..Any Celtic-Folk-Pop-Rock of today can tip it's woolly cap to one Donovan Leitch from Scotland!-Sadly once labeled "The English Bob Dylan"; Donovan emerged in the 60's as a Powerful Performer and a Solid Songwriter!-Under the tutelage of the Hit-Making Mickie Most; Donovan's "Sunshine Superman" (and many other Smash Singles!) Took over the Top 40 Radio Airwaves in America!-{Donovan's Personal & Spiritual paths would intersect with The Beatles in India when they all famously studied with the Maharishi Mashesh Yogi!}-Donovan's finger-picking style of acoustic guitar playing; Coupled with his friendship of such Studio Heavies as Jimmy Page & Jeff Beck; "Don" could do no wrong on any of his Hit Albums!-Hip & Cool & Groovy & Beat & Definitely "Worth Another Listen!"-Donovan "Gets You There On Time!"...by Grimmbo.

This album is the start of his dabbling in psychedelic music but still keeping to his strong roots of folk inspired by likes of bob dylan. This album is truly easy to listen to and such tracks like sunshine superman, the trip, and legend of girl child linda make you want to sing along. This album is a must have if you love the 60's, psychedelic rock, or is a big fan of folk.

This album is really groovy. It's definatly Donovan's best, one of the best of 1966, and the sixties. Anyone with any taste in music would like this album, I like it and I'm only 13.

I've loved this album since I was 16 years old. Love at first listen, just as with the Beatles, Dylan's 2nd album (remember when the needle was first let down on "Blowin' in the Wind"?), and others. Beautiful, trippy, sunny, shimmering, sparkling, reboant, phantastic. If you like the Incredible String Band, Dylan, Bert Jansch, Fairport Convention, Mamas and Papas, The Byrds, etc., you'll like this.
