So, happy to have found this hit from the 80's. I love Angela Bofill. Her voice always moves me. Would love to hear a new jazz cd.

Been looking for a certain song since 1988. Thank God I found it. Been a Stanley Clarke fan since a little man and learned of him from my father. "Old Friends" will really touch your heart like it has for me. A great piece of music.
  • IN THE ZONE!!!

Stanley Clarke is in the zone!!! From the heavily syncopated Riffs of "Johnson Street" and the Tenor Bass on "When It's Cold" to the more Pop sound of "Basketball" and the smooth melodies of "Hideaway" This album is a true winner and an absolute "MUST HAVE" of the very well established Clarke collection.

As a long time S.Clarke fan, this is one of my favorites. It's so mellow on one hand, and so funky on the otherhand. And it's always good to hear Angela Bowfill. Love it!
  • SEARCH IS OVER!!! YAY!

I have been searching for this particular album for almost 20 years. I bought it, of course, when it came out in '86 on audio tape...what else! My son and I listened to it "to death." Then I lost the tape. And I have been searching for it ever since. WELL! My search has come to an end...at last. It took me a few hours perusing the internet, but I FINALLY found it and instantly bought it on iTunes. Next to George Duke, Stanley Clarke has got to be the "baddest" jazz musician to date, and this album is (if not his best), one of his best. I am a happy camper, now. I'm going to "GOOGLE" his tour dates and pray he's coming to my neck of the woods real soon!
