Bullet is my favorite band in the world. That being said for some reason with every album that is put out by them usually takes me a few listens to get into the entire album and appreciate its musical content. This album was no exception, took me a few weeks to really get into it to be able to compare it to past releases. Best way to really describe this album for me is a Scream Aim Fire and Fever combinations with less harsh vocals. This album has a very Bullet feel to it. I have always felt Bullet has very catchy lyrics in their verses that mix perfectly with the instrmentals. Run For Your Life and In Loving Memory are some songs that i think are really worth listening. Overall i would give this album a 5 Out of 5 stars and think this album will help them regain a lot of fans that jumped ship after 2013's TT. here is my personal rating for every song 1. V 10/10 nice intro 2. No Way Out 8/10 the vocals at the beginning don’t really feel bullet to me. I think this was fan services they tried to start it out really hard to make up for lost time. I just not feeling the lyrics. I don’t think much effort was made here. 3. Army of Noise 9.5/10 great song. for some reason reminds me of Scream Aim Fire 4. Worthless 9.5/10 lyrical content has a very bullet feel to it 5. You Want a Battle (Heres a War) 12/10 This song is just plain awesome and will be a anthem for many live shows from here on 6. Broken 10/10 7. Venom 9.5/10 Pretty Generic and repetitive but it gets its point through and is a great song that everyone can relate too 8. The Harder The Heart (The Harder it Breaks) 11/10 9. Skin 10/10 One of my personal favorite even though i know the lyrics are very generic and repetative 10. Hell Or High Water 10.5/10 11. Pariah 11/10 Great closer; more of that catchy melodic lyrics I was taking about. 12. Playing God 10/10 . Bullet never lets down with their bonus tracks my my favorite songs on this album are actually all the bonus tracks. 13. Run For your life 15/10 Love this song! This would have fit perfectly on SAF 14. In Loving Memory 15/10 same thing, would have fit perfect on SAF. Those two songs are my clear cut favs off the whole album. 15. Raising Hell 12/10 we already knew this was a awesome song that set the way for Bullets comeback. Little repetitive though. 16. Ace of spades 9/10 17. Scream Aim Fire Live 8.5/10 I would say to anyone buying a bullet record to always spend the extra few bucks and go with the deluxe edition because in this case 2 of the best songs are on the deluxe. Scream Aim Fire had awesome bonus songs on its deluxe edition just like this album.

Listen to their first ep and the first self titled album then tell me this stuff is good . It’s polished commercial sounding trash .
  • Best and darkest since Scream Aim Fire

I love this record. It’s my favorite release of the band in nearly a decade. This feels like the classic sound with some new elements mixed in. It has the Metallica like vibe I’ve heard from the band in the past. I would recommend this to any fan of this band new or long time fans like myself.

Infinitely better than Temper Temper and overall a solid album, but still nowhere near the level of The Poison as some people say it is. I suppose I should be happy that they didn’t continue down a path that would inevitably lead to their doom, and of all the metalcore bands to sell out, this is one of the ones it would not be acceptable. Scream Aim Fire is still going to be my favorite after The Poison. Glad to see Matt hasn’t abandoned his fans’ expectations and he still knows how to play like BFMV fans expect the band should.

In this day and age it’s really hard to cut through the nonsense reviews and just plain hate. I’m a new listener to this band, for whatever reason I missed the initial boat for these guys but I came across a video on youtube of them playing the carolina festival and after watching each bands set I felt they pretty much blew everyone off the stage with the exception of Lamb of god but it was close. Being a metal listener I love great metal and melody, these guys do it best IMO. I listened to each track with an open mind and ears quite a few times, then I reversed the track order and listened to the last track first and so on. I used this trick with the Black Sabbath 13 album because I thought they started that album with the slow plodding songs first, reversing the order gave it a new perspective. Every track on this album is great in it’s own right. tight, thick sound with great melody.. IMO they haven’t strayed too much from their sound since I bought each CD and digital album and listened to them.. ALL of them are heavy and melodic.. yes, the first album seem to deal with darker lyrics but that doesn’t warrant a poor review. If you like heavy music with a thick/rich sound and aggression with melody, this IMO is their masterpiece. great job!

You know, The Poison is by far my favorite album because without it these guys wouldn't be close to where they are now. With 10 Years Today playing right now I'm pleased to say that this is by far the biggest come back from them after Temper Temper. It was a great album but it was a little soft compared to the rest of their albums. Love this album and love the band to death! Hope to see them live soon! Rock on!🤘🏻
