I grew up with the thrash movement in high school and when I heard the buzz surrounding ex Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine having his own band, many of us couldn’t wait to hear what was going to be delivered. When this album ( and yes, I mean vinyl) came out, it was mind blowing!! The riffs and technical precision on guitar and knowing Dave was now singing while playing these complex riffs.. was unbelievable! This still holds up as one of the most important thrash metal debuts of all time!!

Dave Mustaine chose the beeps to give the original author of These Boots the finger. The guy didn’t like Dave’s adjustments to the lyrics and made an issue of it so Dave included the song on the remaster so you could hear the drum work and guitar and his lyrics but bleeped his lyrics because F that guy. Buy it.

Why label it explicit when you’re censoring original material. You should sell it as it was once made. All I have to say is that if you’re going to bleep my favorite band then I’m going back to buying their original cd’s/albums, where nothing is bleeped. I don’t know why you chose to do this. Whomever you are, but this is a thrash metal band. Don’t try to alter what someone like me wants and loves. In its original form. I know I’m only one man. But I feel like other people can relate to how I feel, with what you chose to do with one of my favorite songs. You can chose to ignore me. Which I feel will result in you losing money. Or you can listen. And keep everything how it was originally made. That’s why we’re here. That’s why I’m here.

This is the album that started it all. Loud, aggressive, and just as good (if not better) than Metallica! My favorite tracks are “loved to deth” “killing is my business” “skull beneath the skin” and “looking down the cross”. Please note: the songs are uncensored except for “these boots” because they ran into some controversy with the original creator of the song. You can find the unbleeped song with the original (non megadeth’s) lyrics on the final kill release. Giving it 4 stars since they don’t have dedicated clean/explicit versions and it seems kinda odd having some censored and some uncensored tracks in the same release. Anyway it’s a great album for any thrash metal fan!

Mechanix is not Metallica's Phantom Lord but faster, it is in fact The Four Horsemen. You people obviously have access to the internet, use to do some research before making yourself look dumb.

It bleeps out so much of the song "These Boots"! I don't understand why! It's an explicit album so don't censor it!
Great Album, not my favorite mix

This is probably one of Megadeth's greatest albums. I don't believe this is my favorite mix of the album though. If I am not mistaken, this album was originally listed as "Remastered" when this version was originally released on February 5, 2002 on Loud Records.
The original album, released on June 12, 1985 on Combat Records, is in my opinion the best. It has a more raw feeling, less polished, and more LIVE sound!
Although this mix is good it seems a little toned down and a little drum heavy. It does have the censored version of These Boots. Dave Mustaine tells the story about why it's censored better than I ever can; look it up on the web.
This should be five stars but the fact that you aren't getting the "original" album here makes me give it 4.
