  • Love the new mix/re-master

    By WarmChordMusic
I got this on vinyl and it sounds better than ever. In comparison to the original pressing of this album, which I own, it's not even close. Between the updated cover art, quality of the vinyl (180 gram blood-red), and the clarity of mix it's amazing. Dave also threw in some of the drum fills Gar did that for some reason didn't get on the original - "Chosen Ones" is one example. Listen to the end fill and you'll hear something different than the original. This is not a cash grab re-master, there's definitely some new nuggets on this record to appreciate.
  • These Boots finally NOT uncensored!

    By metalgod75
To those reviewers who think this is the uncensored version of These Boots, do your homework. Also, this album originally came out in 1985, LONG before THIS current climate of terrorism. I will always prefer the original version. This is just another tampered with remix from Dave. You’d think he learned his lesson after the 2004 butcher job of the Capitol back catalogue.

The album that forever changed my life when I was 5 and I’m still head banging 30 years later!!
  • Amazing Album

This is an amazing album. Remastered, it really sounds so much cleaner. Also f*ck people that say this glorifies violence. They aren't metal. Bring on the violence!
  • These Boots

This album overall will always be amazing even with its new remastering and the new version of These boots is finally uncensored making it even better to hear
  • Acceptable

I like the revamped guitars in “Loved You To Deth”. I was disappointed the the lyrics in “These Boots” are the 60’s version. I loved Dave’s version. But, I know he ran into some trouble with the original songwriter...whatevz. The live songs are always to be skipped through. Overall, it’s the best remaster. I’m proud to own the original vinyl AND cassette (I was a bit of a fan back then, ha!) Thus is still tied with Peace Sells as my favorite Megadeth album. “Chosen Ones”, “Looking Down The Cross” and “Skull Beneath The Skin” are so perfect.
  • I prefer the more recent remaster

    By Benrun B
I prefer the more recent remaster, less echo (which yes, it was more compressed...but that's just how I'm used to this album sounding). Also, I prefer an internet-ripped version of These Boots. Dave has re-sung it with the correct song lyrics. However, the original - unapproved lyrics were more fun.
  • Amazing

Great remaster with some included live tracks. Just perfect! I’m glad I discovered this band around a year ago. Absolutely one of my favorite bands now!
