This person "hinmanhouse" that criticized this album must not know one bit about music. This is a great album. I grew up listening to it and it brings back so many memories. It's too bad that people have nothing better to do than criticize. Just enjoy the music!

If you are a hard core Furs fan that believes they can do no wrong, like me, then you will appreciate this album. As with their previous album 'Mirror Moves,' the Furs attempt expand their audience with a few more slick/radio friendly songs. Me personally, I don't get my sphincter (aka corn-hole) all bent out of shape just because a great band trys new junk, you dig? The Furs are anothe classic example of an EPIC band that never got the their respect. I love all their whole catalog. I have seen this band live 25 times over the last 13 years, and I love everything they play. In addition, do you self a favore and check out their post Furs project Love Spit Love, an instant classic. My only regret is not discovering Love Spit Love in my youth. Now, that is the real tragedy. :-) lol

I make it a point never to take shots at other reviewers, but I desperately want to send the Furs first three albums to all of the positive reviewers of this one. I love the Furs. At 42, I would argue still that "Talk, Talk, Talk" belongs on any legitimate list of the 50 best albums of all time. I'd also argue that "Midnight to Midnight" is one of the worst pop records of the 80's. The disappointment that accompanied the deterioration of this great band into this ordinary sounding hairspray spandex regurgitation of every bad MTV cliche cannot be overstated. It was like watching the Beatles turn into the Archies and getting to watch the whole mess on MTV. Get the first three Furs albums and Richard Butler's short-lived 90's project Love Spit Love's first record (his very recent solo album shines as well, but in a decidedly different vein). If you must listen to "Midnight to Midnight", view it as a cautionary tale on the proximity of genius to mediocrity.
  • Pretty bad record by a not bad band

They peaked with Forever Now, and this record's their low point. Calculated to death, there's a dearth of passion throughout. I don't believe they mean a word of it.

  • The Soundtrack To My Life!

When this album came out, it was the soundtrack to my 8th & 9th grade years. "Shock" was my favorite song, followed by "Shadow In My Heart" and "Midnight To Midnight". Every song was special to me and I hope having this on iTunes will introduce this great album to a new generation. These songs are timeless!

Richard Butler apparently hated this record, as he saw it as the band selling out. I, on the otherhand, have listened religiously to M2M for the past 20 years. Two of my all-time favorite Furs' songs are included here: "Heartbreak Beat" and "Angels Don't Cry". It is perhaps a little over-polished, and some of the songs sound more like recording studio exercises than songs, but overall it's a winner. Aside from the two songs already mentioned, "Midnight to Midnight", "No Release", and "One More Word" are great additions to any Furs fan's library.

After wearing this "tape" down in high school, it's so great to see one of the best bands EVER on iTunes! I LOVE this music!! I will never get bored of it, eventhough I've been listening to it since the 80s..
