I saw Bully open up for Metz last night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg and recognized immediately the sound of a band that was going to be something big. Sure the Courtney Love comparisons will be. But there appears to be a "real" quality to Alicia, the lead singer, that always seemed lacking from the Hole front woman. I have added them to the short list of bands to watch in the coming years.

Women are saving rock. All the comparisons to Breeders and Pixies are warranted but Bully's sound is risky and reckless. Only Cold War Kids and Dead Weather have had me this excited.
