These genre is Freestyle, not dance or hip hop. This was a short lived period but is the best music that paved the way for all the artists today. These were artist that did not make a lot of money, I remember buying these in records and DJing house parties in the hood (SW Detroit). This was a great time and makes me want to dance!! I want to stress that this is fun music that brings back memories and was hood music!!!!!!

I agree with the other reviewer, this is NOT R&B or rap or anything else, it IS FREESTYLE.
I see that Fantasy Girl is the HIGHEST rated song on this album... WHY, it is a GREAT song, but "I Love you" and "I wanna make love" are also GREAT songs, although I never heard them on the air. I got them as 12" single's from a DJ supply store here in San Diego, they are 2 of my FAVORITE songs! You gotta get them you wont be disappointed.
Highways of Love, Don't Go Away, Memories, are also some of Johnny's best, so get them and blast them everywhere you go, wow, talk about a blast from the past.
A great artist, right up there on the top like Stevie B, Timmy T, all the first name last initial guys ;) and of course the letters only of TKA and the double names Debbie Deb, Lisa Lisa. I can go on all day about freestyle, but you know what I'm talkin about Sa Fire, George Lammond, Noel, all great.
