    Wow. What a great CD. The piccolo parts in "In Memoriam" are into the stratosphere....and it's nearly perfect. Balance and sense of ensemble is excellent with only a very, very few minor errors. Based on this CD, this may be the best college wind ensemble in the country.

    I want to be the first to say that the only reason I bought this album was for the chance to hear such a high caliber group play david maslanka's In Memoriam. This is one of the most emotional pieces of music that I have ever had the privelege of playing, becasue I played it under the baton of the man it was written for. This piece is dedicated to this man's wife and how she was diagnosed with cancer. You can tell from the very begining how much heartache was felt during this time of their life. Purchase this album, it is worth every penny, and then its still completely priceless.
