    I would love to see this musical redo the album because it is missing the song "You'll Shoo Your Eye Out!" That song was awsome on the Tonys this year and that is the only song I want!

    I first became a Pasek+Paulian when I heard their music for Dogfight, and I can say with the utmost certainty that they are bringing Broadway back into another heyday just as the albums description says. They write beautiful (dare I say memorable) music that would be able to tell the story all on its own if they hadn't crafted such witty and character driven lyrics for each piece. If you enjoy good theater and a really good score then you would be foolish not to enjoy this one.

    The show is great, this subpar recording from two years ago with a regional cast unfortunately is not (especially compared to the stellar cast in the current broadway run) This version is missing songs, have lyrics that have since been cut and old arrangements.

    "A Christmas Story: The Musical" premiered at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle in December of 2010. That cast is the cast of this recording, and the children are the best child singers you have ever heard. The orchestrations are fantastic, the overture is gorgeous, and of course the songs are catchy as hell. Buy this musical - it's one of the best new musicals out right now. Additionally, I'm not at all biased, being the brother of the boy who plays Grover Dill on the recording. : ) But seriously, buy this now.
